Regulation

What is piano Regulation?

A single note on a piano includes more than 20 levers, springs and switches.  When one component that is not aligned or calibrated properly and a key won't work or it is too sensitive to play( the lightest touch plays the note).  Regulation is the calibration and realignment of action components to produce uniform key-touch (sensitivity of a key to engage the action) and hammer check (the proper height and response of note when played).

A properly regulated piano is easy to play and each note takes the same amount of time to sound when you press a key.
